Eligibility
All Victorian households are eligible for the VEU rebate, with no income restrictions. Your property must be over two years old, and the upgrade must involve replacing an existing system with a more energy-efficient one.

Rebate Amounts
The rebate amount depends on the system you’re replacing and the new system you’re installing. For instance:

Replace a gas ducted heater with a reverse cycle ducted system: $1,000–$4,000 rebate.
Swap a gas space heater for a reverse cycle multi-split system: $900–$2,000 rebate.
Upgrade an old split system to a new reverse cycle split system: $200–$500 rebate.

Claims and Eligibility
Only one upgrade per household is allowed under the VEU program. Note that businesses, schools, and places of worship are currently not eligible for this rebate.
